Music

Music is an intrinsic element of Igbo culture and society and a highly esteemed art form. Along with song and dance, it is revered for its presence in virtually every aspect of daily life. Over thousands of years, the peoples known today as the Igbo have cultivated a musical tradition rich in various styles and instruments that have helped form their identities.

In order to celebrate this heritage, the next few posts will be dedicated to highlighting the musical traditions and instruments of (Àlà Ìgbò) Igboland.
