Happy Biafra Awareness Month! It is unfortunate that in an attempt to erase the memory of a conflict which has so dramatically shaped our country, the Nigerian education system purposely neglects to educate pupils on the events and history of the Nigerian-Biafran War, a conflict which has had a tremendous impact on the Igbo people. In order to shed light on the sacrifices which more than two million of our brethren made in blood and sweat,@Igbohistorywill dedicate this month to Biafran awareness.
